Hi both,
A good choice to have taken a year of for traveling. I have done the same once, back in 1990 and haven't regretted doing so for a day. It will definitely make you a wiser person (except me off course).
There is one downside to this I have experienced. Life in Holland will never be the same again, if not; intolerable.
I have left Holland in 2005 and could only wish I would have done that 10 years sooner. I now live a great and never so happy life in Taiwan, doing as little as I can.
I had a quick look at your pics, they are nice indeed. Don't let people talk you into making that your source of income though. To use a Dutch phrase: "Er is geen droog brood in te verdienen, en dat wordt alleen maar erger!".
Wish you a happy new year (新年好). Do whatever everybody tells you not to do and do it today [wink].

Glad to see that you're both still having the time of your lives. The sunny pictures are even more appealing given the grey skies and rain back here. Keep posting - it's always a pleasure to read the latest entry.

Dear Niels and Amy,
thank you for your postcard from the Solomon Islands. It took a month to get here! We understand that you're leaving the South Pacific to go to New-Zealand.
We hope you will have a good time there and wish you all the best.
best regards from Hans and Hannie.

Great photos Niels! I'm sure enjoying the pics. I follow your travels with great interest. Soon you'll both be home and you can give us the story of your trip first-hand. You're in my thoughts and prayers daily. May God bless you and keep you safe. Love, Uncle Doug
